Grey Cardigan: Craven newsround

The BBC’s craven refusal to screen an appeal for humanitarian aid to Gaza might seem to some people to be a reaction to the constant criticism the corporation faces of institutionalised left-wing bias. (Although even the thickest Strictly Come Dancing viewer should be able to tell the difference between a charity appeal and a news bulletin.)

But fear not, Lefties of the world. Radio 4 managed to report the Sunday Times’ peers-for-money story throughout this morning without actually mentioning the political affiliation of the accused. Indeed, it wasn’t until after The Archers and Desert Island Discs that I actually heard the dreaded word ‘Labour’ mentioned.
