Croydon Advertiser moves to Reigate after power cut

By paulmcnally

The news team on the Croydon Advertiser were forced to relocate to Reigate in Surrey last week after a water leak left the newsroom without electricity or phone lines on press day.

Six reporters on the Northcliffe-owned weekly were shipped 10 miles down the road last Tuesday to put out that week’s paper.

Advertiser editor-in-chief Ian Carter said the journalists returned to work in Croydon this morning.
