It provided some colourful news copy here in the UK this summer – now motorsport boss Max Mosley is preparing for his German legal bid over reports of his sadomasochistic sex session with five women.
According to the Times’s man in Berlin, Roger Boyes, Mosley’s case against German newspaper giant Axel Springer is due to be held early in the new year.
Mosley is suing the mass-circulation Bild newspaper and its website for a reported £1.4m, and is seeking further damages from the DPA news agency and the Hamburg weekly Die Zeit.
As well as the issue of privacy, Mosley’s case in Germany will also open up the debate on the use of wartime symbols. The women pictured in the video were wearing Luftwaffe uniforms.
