Former Telegraph editor Martin Newland’s new English-language daily newspaper for the United Arab Emirates has been unveiled to advertisers ahead of its launch.
The Nation, expected to launch next month, will be a quality broadsheet. It will be published by the Abu Dhabi Media Company, which is owned by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
ArabianBusiness.com reported that Newland said his team of nearly 200 journalists – including many recruited from Britain – would be producing the UAE’s “first truly quality national and international newspaper.”
