A new website has launched this week for women who feel patronised by glossy magazines.
TheLipster.com is aimed at “women who might pick up the New Statesman as well as Glamour”, according to its editor, Jude Rogers.
“There is a shortage of intelligent and funny pop culture coverage in [women’s mags],” she tells the Guardian.
“We’re trying to make women feel better about themselves every time they click. With most magazines you read, you feel worse about yourself.”
