Journalist Giles Coren has written a blistering letter to The Oldie magazine after it published an attack on his late father Alan in the January issue. Wilfred De’Ath wrote in the Oldie that Coren senior was “extremely aggressive”, “fiercely ambitious” and even questioned his ability as editor of Punch.
Now, according to the Evening Standard, Coren younger has written to The Oldie complaining that he is sent the magazine for free.
According to the ES, he writes: “Send me your vile, bigoted, humourless, bag of crap publication again and I shall be forced to call for the police.”
