BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour presenter Jenni Murray is to receive an award from the Media Society in recognition of her services to the media.
Murray, who has presented Woman’s Hour for more than 20 years and was awarded the OBE in 1999 for services to broadcasting, will receive the award at a cermony in London on 15 April.
The society brings together journalist working across all media, and holds regular meetings and debates. President Geraldine Sharpe Newton said Murray was “accomplished, warm, tenacious, courteous and exacting”.
