The Independent published a fourth front page story on the plight of Afghan journalism student Sayed Pervez Kambaksh today as it revealed that a senior government official believes the young man’s life will be saved.
Kambaksh was sentenced to death for allegedly distributing blasphemous material downloaded from an internet site. More than 60,000 people have signed the Indy’s petition calling for Kambaksh’s life to be saved.
