The Ariel wallchart showing a who’s who of the corporation’s top brass — including cartoon versions of the executive board — has prompted much bemused comment this week.
The Telegraph, however, makes a more serious observation: “Of the 91 people pictured in the guide … not one is black and there are only two Asian staff members.”
It was seven years ago, the Telegraph notes, that then director-general Greg Dyke bemoaned the fact that the Beeb is “hideously white” and promised to make it more diverse.
