View UK journalism events in a larger map
After some technical jiggery-pokery we’ve created a Google Map version based on the new Press Gazette diary of journalism-related events. It works – more or less – though for some reason which we haven’t yet worked out it has placed the Ultimate News Quiz on the border of North Dakota.
We did this (after asking the internet how to) by taking a feed from the our Google journalism events calendar, feeding through Yahoo pipes to create the map location info and feeding that back into Google Maps.
