Mail Online in privacy payout over Lily Allen home pics

By Press Gazette

Lily Allen has won damages from Mail Online, the website of the Daily and Sunday Mail, in a privacy and copyright action.

Allen took action against publisher Associated Newspapers after its website published photos of her house and her address with a story about her buying a new property.

A consent order was approved by the High Court on Monday confirming that Associated Newspapers now accepted to pay damages, Allen’s legal costs and an acknowledgment by Associated that she now owns the copyright of the photographs of her house.

The amount of damages and other terms were kept confidential.
