Shortlist Media will next month launch a new digital sister band for its free women’s weekly Stylist.
The new daily email newsletter – called Emerald Street – will be produced in-house by the Stylist editorial team and sent to registered readers each day from April.
According to the publishers, Emerald Street will offer readers up-to-the-minute style news alongside pieces on art, culture, careers and books.
The new brand also has its own website – emeraldstreet.com – where readers can register to receive the email.
Tim Ewington, ShortList Media co-founder, said: ‘Email is a medium with which young women spend more time with than even television during the working week.
‘Delivered direct to each subscriber’s inbox, Emerald Street is designed to work on her PC, laptop, smartphone or tablet.”
Online editor Anna Fielding will oversee the daily newsletter while Olivia Smith joins the company as associate producer – she previously worked at InStyle magazine.
Today’s announcement follows last week’s launch of a new free glossy biannual men’s fashion title – Shortlist Mode – a spin-off of weekly free men’s mag Shortlist.
Co-founder of Shortlist Media Mike Soutar said last month that the company hoped to announce its first international licensing deal later this year, possibly in Russia.
