Chris Green, Johnston Press divisional managing director in the North, is stepping down from his post with the company.
An internal memo sent to staff at Johnston Press yesterday by chief operating officer Danny Cammiade said Green had decided to leave his post following discussions over a proposed group reorganisation.
Johnston Press is divided into seven regional publishing divisions with its Northern Division containing eight major newspaper groups; including the Yorkshire Post, Yorkshire Regional Newspapers, Sheffield Newspapers and the Halifax Courier.
It is not yet known the extent, if any, of regional reorganisation of Johnston Press following Green’s departure. However, Johnston Press will later this morning reveal details of the company’s financial performance for the first six months of the year, which could prompt an announcement.
Cammiade’s memo told staff that a further announcement would be made about Green’s departure ‘in due course”.
Johnston Press declined to comment further on the matter.
