The chief operating officer of magazine trade body, the PPA, is to leave the organisation at the end of the year.
News of Sarah Tunstall’s departure comes little over a month after PPA’s chief executive Jonathan Shephard abruptly left the organisation after just a year in the job.
Tunstall will leave the organization to join digital agency Fresh Egg as commercial director in January next year.
The PPA, which still has no chief executive, is currently undertaking a full review of its activities. It made no announcement about Tunstall’s likely successor.
Eric Verdon-Roe, consultant to PPA, praised Tunstall’s running of the FIPP World Magazine Congress, which took place in London earlier this year.
He said: “We [Sarah and he] have been working together recently, sharing the day-to-day running of the company until a new chief executive is appointed.
“Sarah has worked tirelessly on a broad range of PPA activities…Her dedication to all things PPA has been legendary and we will miss her drive and energy. We all wish her the very best in her new role.”
Tunstall said: “I am delighted to be joining Fresh Egg at such an exciting stage in its development and look forward to retaining a close link with PPA in my new role.”
