The Sun Online is celebrating record traffic in August.
According to internal figures that have not yet been audited by ABC Electronic, the Sun network of websites, which includes Page3.co.uk and the News of the World web site, gained more than 1 million unique users in August to top the 10 million mark for the first time.
The Sun’s claim of 10.59 million monthly unique users in August represents a rise of 12 per cent over its last audited figure of 9.44m global unique users in July, and a rise of 37 per cent year on year.
The Sun said 43 per cent (4.55 million) of its unique users in August were based in the UK.
