James Foster has been appointed as the new editor of the Norwich Evening News.
He takes over from David Bourne, who resigned abruptly in May this year.
Foster, 38, has been deputy editor of the Cambridge Evening News since March 2005. He was made assistant editor in 2002 and was previously chief sub – having joined the CEN in 1998.
In the last six months of 2006 sales of the Norwich Evening News fell by 6.2 per cent to 24,398.
