Top Gear and BBC History take top honours

The headline prizes at the BBC Magazine Awards went to Top Gear and BBC History.

In a ceremony presented by managing director Peter Phippen and deputy managing director Nick Brett, they won the magazine of the year titles for magazines over and under 70,000 circulation respectively. BBC Wildlife was named editorial team of the year.

The Radio Times's Shem Law took the award for art direction and its executive picture editor, Patricia Taylor, was editorial person of the year. BBC Focus magazine's staff writer Ian Taylor was named newcomer of the year.
