Lord Rothermere, who today laid the foundation stone for the new £3
million Journalists’ Charity care home in Dorking, has donated £250,000
from the Harmsworth and Daily Mail Fund to the appeal.
The new home will be opened in 2007 and Lord Rothermere , the JC’s president promised further support for the charity.

Kennedy handed over a cheque for £20,000, the second instalment of
proceeds from the London Press Ball, for the care home . The Ball has
already raised some £12,000 for the appeal.
