The 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York were voted
the most iconic image in a viewer poll conducted by ITV News for The
Shot that Shook the World. The attacks on the World Trade Center
received 27,191 votes, followed by the first man on the moon, with
12,957 votes.
