Polly Neate, the long-serving editor of Community Care magazine,
has resigned in order to take on a senior policy role with children’s
charity NCH.

Neate, who has been with the RBI title for 15
years and editor for six-and-a-half years, will become executive
director of new business strategy and communication at the charity.

She said: “I’ll really miss the team, along with
the sense of security you have when you feel very at home working
somewhere and have been there for ages.

Neate was editing the title when it won the PPA Business and Professional Magazine of the Year Award in 2003.
She said the company had changed so much since she joined in 1990 that it seemed “like another planet”.

“We all wrote on manual typewriters, I used to

Publishing director Trevor Goodman said: “Polly will be a very hard act to follow – she has been a fantastic editor.
