How a screen revealed truth

By Press Gazette

Dog’s item on a Livewire photograph revealing passwords for GNER trains’ control
centre computer (Press Gazette, 17 June) reminds me of Angleseybased
David E Sutcliffe’s video footage for BBC Wales of a North Wales Police
incident room, during the investigation 10 years ago of one of Peter
Moore’s four murders.

The pathologist’s report was being
processed on the computer screen that Sutcliffe filmed. The report
stated the victim had been the subject of homosexual activity. However,
the police denied they were investigating a homosexual murder.

It took four murders before Moore was charged with them.

Sutcliffe’s
footage of the computer screen provided valuable evidence for a
subsequent television programme revealing how the police mishandled the
investigations.
