Shortlist announced for independent publishers’ 2005 industry awards

The shortlist for the third annual PPA Independent Publisher Advisory Council (IPAC) awards has been announced.

The
nine awards offer the independent publishing sector a unique
opportunity to receive industry recognition for its achievements.

They
will be presented at a lunchtime ceremony following the IPAC Seminar at
PPA’s Magazines 2005 event, at the Grosvenor Hotel in London, on
Tuesday 3 May.

The shortlist is as follows:

● Best Revenue Generating Initiative: Housebuilding 2004,
Housebuilder Publications; Intersection, Intersection Media; Pocket
Films Calendar, Pocket Films; Private Dentistry Awards, FMC

● Brand Development of the Year: The List Pocket Guides, The List; A Place in the Sun Live, Brooklands Media Group

● Best Launch or Relaunch: Mining Journal, Mining Communications;
Sparkle World, The Redan Company; Walk, Think Publishing; Wedding
Ideas, Giraffe Media

● Most Innovative Route to Market: Full On! Magazine, Full On Publications; Pocket Films Calendar, Pocket Films

● Achievement Award: Dentistry, FMC; Fun to Learn Favourites, The
Redan Company; Legal Week, Legal Week Group Media; The List, The List

● Designer of the Year: David Lloyd, Dive Magazine, Circle Publishing; Yorgo Tloupas, Intersection, Intersection Media

● Editor of the Year: Sarah Hawkin, Fun to Learn Favourites, The
Redan Company; Will Hatchett, Environmental Health News, Chadwick House
Publications; Simon Rogerson, Dive Magazine, Circle Publishing; Dan
