Benson takes director’s role at Time magazine

Laurie Benson has been appointed publishing director for Time
magazine’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) edition. She will be
responsible for all sales and marketing initiatives from the company’s
London-based international headquarters and will be reporting to Ed
McCarrick, Time’s New York-based worldwide publisher.

Benson’s
previous roles include: sales executive for several US-based cable
television networks; president of sales and marketing for Hotelevision
Networks; senior vice president of sales at Oxygen Media, a television
and internet-content company; and advertising sales director for
Scripps- Howard, where she helped launch the Home & Garden
Television Network.

Benson said: “I am delighted to return to the Time Warner family, especially its flagship brand, Time.”
