Computing magazine Webactive has increased its pagination and moved to a smaller ‘laptop’ format in a bid to attract more readers, writes Ruth Addicott.
The revamp is based on feedback from readers, which said they preferred a more portable size to carry around with their laptop.
The website reviews section has been expanded to include more sites and the workshop section will feature step-by-step guides to technical issues and advice on how to build a website. A new series of guides has also been introduced along with the best broadband deals and a new Webactive directory of hand-picked websites.
Pagination has increased from around 84 to 132.
Webactive editor Jonathan Parkyn claimed it was the first technology title to make the switch to a ‘laptop’ size. “The internet is more portable now and we felt a small-format magazine was the way forward. The new look is basically easier to take with you wherever you go,” he said.
The cover price will stay at £1.20.
