Dow Jones boosts technology team

By Press Gazette

Dow Jones Newswires has announced changes to its Berlin-based technology, media and telecoms team with the appointment of two assistant news editors covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Taska Manzaroli, who will have the senior position of the two, joined Dow Jones Newswires in 2001 to cover telecoms stories in Germany. More recently, he has been providing panEuropean coverage of industry trends.

He has also worked at Bloomberg.

Steve McGrath, who until now has been working in London, joined Dow Jones Newswires in 1997 as a commodities reporter and has since had several roles in energy and equities reporting.

Most recently, he was responsible for the European edition of Dow Jones NewsPlus, a web-based version of selected Newswires content.

He replaces Rob Fisher, who returns to the United States to take up a post on the global desk.

Paul Larkins, the assistant news editor in charge of the London services desk, is to take over NewsPlus. He will be assisted by senior copy editor Andi Spicer.
