Axed

By Press Gazette

New Urban Futures has been axed due to disappointing sales, writes Ruth Addicott.

The fortnightly title dedicated to urban regeneration launched in October 2002, following the closure a month before of sister title Urban Environment Today.

Subscribers were sent a letter from the title’s publisher informing them of the closure, claiming there was “insufficient demand” to continue publishing.

Co-owners Landor Publishing and Shared Intelligence held discussions on the future of the print publication and its online version, but failed to come up with a viable alternative.
