Broadcaster joins Scottish Express

By Press Gazette

Broadcaster Sheena McDonald has been signed up as a columnist by the Scottish Sunday Express.

McDonald, who has made a full recovery after suffering serious head injuries in a collision with a police van in London, has replaced Jimmy Young on the paper.

Editor Derek Lambie said: “I haven’t given Sheena any remit. She choses what she wants to write on but it has a political edge. She spends half the time in London and half in Scotland, so she can give a Scottish viewpoint to what is going on in Westminster.

“It is a bit of everything. She is a respected Scottish voice and no matter what she writes on people will listen to her. She almost epitomises a typical Sunday Express reader.”
