Former Meridian Tonight producer Paul Erlam has become managing director of UKN Productions, the independent production and training company.
Erlam produced the Thames Valley edition of Meridian’s flagship programme from its launch in 1993 until last year, having previously worked for Thames Television and London Evening News.
Berkshire-based UKN recently took a majority share in magazine agency Newsplus, and has announced a partnership with Brussels-based Touchstone International, who it plans to work with on European projects.
UKN will handle more than 20 countries’s media coverage for next months Energy Choices for Europe conference at the European Parliament, which will bring together leading politicians.
