Craig Hoyle has left Jane’s Defence Weekly after seven years to join Flight International as defence editor.
When the vacancy arose it seemed to be the ideal progression for Hoyle, who had previously been aviation editor at Jane’s Defence Weekly.
“I saw this as the natural step to take,” said Hoyle.
“My previous job was fairly similar but I was mainly a reporter and feature writer. Now I will have greater editorial responsibility with a more hands-on role in production.”
Hoyle joined Jane’s Defence Weekly in 1996 as an editorial assistant. He moved to a reporting post in 1998 where he remained for three years until he was promoted to aviation editor.
