York Vision’s ‘flair’ wins three awards

The University of York’s student newspaper, York Vision, has been named Guardian Student Newspaper of the Year for the second year running, writes Dominic Ponsford.

Judges praised the paper for being “bright, fun, punchy and full of flair”. Robert Harris, York Vision’s editor, also won Student Reporter of the Year and the overall prize for Student Journalist of the Year.

Other winners included Student BMJ, which was named Student Magazine of the Year, Thomas Whipple from Cambridge Student, who was named Student Feature Writer of the Year, and Ryan Li of the University of Oxford’s Cherwell, who was Student Photographer of the Year.
