ITV News establish UK bureau

By Press Gazette

ITV News has established a UK bureau to boost its coverage of home and domestic news, which will see the bulletin’s home affairs remit scrapped, writes Wale Azeez.

The bureau, launching on Monday, will be headed by royal correspondent Tom Bradby, above, who becomes UK editor. Home affairs editor Shiulie Ghosh will become a news correspondent.

Bradby will be joined by news correspondent Helen Wright, who becomes social affairs correspondent.

According to ITN, the UK bureau will focus on investigative reporting and domestic stories, but Bradby will continue to report on royal events.

Royal producer Sarah Hill has been promoted to deputy news editor and will run the news desk.

ITV News assistant editor Jonathan Munro said the changes would “enhance our reporting of important UK issues”.
