A magazine aimed at international jetsetters is due to launch in London and New York next week.
Tramp is pitched as a luxury lifestyle magazine aimed at “intelligent, ostentatious and fashionable” 18 to 25 year olds. New company Tramp Publishing has said it will invest a seven-figure sum in the launch over the next two years.
The 132-page glossy is expected to feature travel, business, politics and fashion alongside advice on how to buy a private yacht and reviews of top bars and restaurants.
Jonathan Aitken’s daughter Alexandra is film and theatre reviewer, former GQ freelance Lee Pears is creative designer and entrepreneur Enrico Williams is publisher. Kirsten Beith, former Sleazenation contributor, is editor.
Editor-in-chief Francis Nkwain said: “It will be full of great holiday destinations, great cars and people we really want to know about.” Nkwain, former publisher of All Access Entertainment, is one of a number of private investors.
The cover features black gloss with a silver foil masthead and silver foil “Tramp” logo.
Copies will be distributed to a list of 15,000 names based in London and New York, said to include international celebrities, editors, photographers, journalists and business whizz kids. It will be published 10 times a year with a cover price of £3.60. The initial print run of 20,000 is set to increase to 30,000 in November.
