The NUJ has referred the case of sacked BBC World Service Arabic producers Adli Hawwari and Abdul-Hadi Jiad to the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service after the issue of their dismissal remained unresolved following discussions last week.
Both sides must agree to a meeting at ACAS and the NUJ now awaits a response from the BBC.
