Time Out assistant music editor Chris Salmon has scooped an award at this year’s amazon.co.uk Music Journalism Awards.
Salmon picked up the Rock and Indie Writer prize for his feature “Stroll With It”. The piece recalled a revealing, entertaining and bizarre ramble in the countryside with Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker.
The amazon.co.uk awards were launched with the aim of showcasing music writing in the national, regional and student press. Miranda Sawyer and Music Week editor Ajax Scott were on the judging panel.
