Anti-crime link-up

By Press Gazette

The Hornsey Journal series has teamed up with Haringey police to launch a crime prevention magazine.

The Haringey Beat, an A4 colour magazine issued free with editions of the Hornsey Journal, Muswell Hill Journal and Tottenham, Wood Green & Edmonton Journal, carries Crimestoppers-style photo appeals as well as features and crime prevention advice.

It is thought to be the first time police have joined forces with a local paper to produce such a magazine.

The Haringey Beat’s editor, North London Newspapers production editor Keith Archer, said: “It gets the crime prevention message across in a bright, easy-to-ready format.”
