The Belfast Telegraph has had £1.5m investment for 2003 from owners Independent News & Media to “freshen” its design, presentation and layout.
The paper is now easier to navigate, providing “a natural flow” from news through to sport, says the company.
Following extensive research with its readers, pagination is to increase and there will be an expansion of local, national and international news coverage.
Business and personal finance, sport, lifestyle, human interest features and the Jobfinder and Homefinder supplements will all expand.
The Business Telegraph is now published with Monday’s Telegraph.
Alongside the revamp, there is to be a major marketing programme, with a television advertising campaign and the launch of “Privileges”, a loyalty reward scheme for readers who have the paper delivered at home.
More than £250,000 will be invested in the primary school initiative “Building for the Future”.
