Wallis Stays On

By Press Gazette

Neil Wallis, who recently quit as editor of The People to become deputy editor of the News of the World, a move that would normally disqualify him from staying on the Press Complaints Commission, is likely to remain in situ for three or four months.

There is already a sizeable churn among editors on the PCC. Dominic Lawson of The Sunday Telegraph is retiring and will be replaced by Roger Alton of The Observer, and Phil Hall’s representation of the magazine sector when he was editor of Hello! is not valid now he has moved on, first to PA and soon to Trinity Mirror.
