E2 magazine
A new entertainment lifestyle magazine, E2, has launched for users of the easyEverything internet cafe chain.
Produced by Comsam, publisher of the easyJet in-flight magazine, it will be distributed free via internet cafes in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The magazine launched with a print run of 100,000 in the UK but the company is hoping to sell franchises to overseas publishers and launch further editions in New York, Paris, Amsterdam and Barcelona.
Aimed at internet users aged 16 to 29, the title covers travel, film, music, clubs, sport, bars and jobs.
Howard Gudgeon, former deputy editor of Digital Photography and freelance for Mojo and The Mail on Sunday, is editor. Other team members are deputy editor Catherine Waterfall, art director Nick Cochrane, music editor Sean Hannam, film editor Rob Hull, clubbing and fashion editor Bluberi Star, travel editor Rob Wightman and food and drink editor Jo Stanford.
Commenting on the launch, Gudgeon said: "I think E2 crosses the divide between the techie environment and leisure outlook."
