Mike Norton, 37, is the new editor of the Derby Evening Telegraph. He has been acting editor since Keith Perch moved into new media last October.
Norton has worked for TRN and Trinity as well as Northcliffe. He told Press Gazette: "I am very pleased and very honoured. I think there is a very exciting future for the Evening Telegraph." His appointment was confirmed on Monday night.
