Knowledge of French would be an advantage but is not essential. BBC news is looking for an experienced broadcast journalist / facilitator, political newsgathering, to join the news desk at Millbank on an attachment/fixed term basis. The successful candidate will act as a dedicated producer and facilitator for political correspondent Gary O’Donoghue, who is visually impaired. BBC Look North is looking for a breakfast presenter/producer (senior broadcast journalist) on a six-month contract. The successful candidate’s main role would be between 5.30am and 9.15am, presenting and producing six bulletins of news, sport, weather and travel. After that, they would be expected to work as a video journalist or producer. The ideal candidate would be an engaging presenter with a detailed knowledge of the Yorkshire region. The role is divided about equally between production work on the magazines and on the websites and the successful candidate will also cover for the head of production on the magazines for holiday and sickness. This is not a job for a beginner – knowledge of Indesign is a must, while Illustrator and Photoshop would be useful. Experience on weekly b2b magazines would be an advantage.
