Bauer president of publishing steps down

Rob Munro-Hall held the role for four years.

Bauer Media Group president of publishing Rob Munro-Hall steps down today after four years in the role.

He said: “I have very much enjoyed my time at Bauer but the time has come to take on new challenges.”

Munro-Hall joined Bauer when it acquired Emap’s magazine and radio businesses in 2008. He became chief executive of the UK publishing business in 2016 before leading the global publishing business for four years.

Bauer said that during his tenure all the publishing businesses were brought together into one portfolio and it refocused on its core European territories of Germany, UK, Poland and France. It added that he leaves the business in a “strong position, with a clear strategy and key transformation and growth projects well underway”.

Bauer said it will fill the position once a suitable candidate has been found.
