Allegra Stratton has joined Bloomberg as UK contributing editor some six months after resigning as a government adviser over a video in which she joked about a lockdown-breaching Downing Street party.
She will write a new daily newsletter called the Readout sent at 5pm every day featuring the best of the day’s coverage from Bloomberg which launches on 20 June. Stratton is a former political editor for Newsnight and national editor for ITV.
She joins Bloomberg UK as part of a major expansion of the consumer-facing side of the business.
