Tel execs' no-show

Word reaches me from the latest mass leaving-do at the Telegraph ‒ where those exiting included political editor George Jones, newsdesk managers Kelly Scott and Richard Stickland, and education editor Liz Lightfoot.

My source tells me: “It was amazing that there were no senior editorial execs there ‒ despite the fact that the people who were leaving had between them more than 100 years service with the Telegraph.

“There was a lot of bitterness at the way Kelly Scott and Richard Stickland were got rid off. They were liked by hundreds of people who had passed through the newsroom over the years.”
