Local newspapers grew their audiences by an average of more than per cent in the second half of 2015.
Trinity Mirror had the best performing sites, growing its total daily unique browsers figure by 40.1 per cent year on year to nearly 2m.
The fastest growing website in the country was the Daily Post North Wales which grew 82.4 per cent year on year to just over 77,000 unique browsers per day.
The Manchester Evening News remains the most popular local newspaper website in the UK and grew 34.5 per cent year on year to 558,095 unique browsers per day.
The second fastest growing regional press website was the London Evening Standard which grew 61.6 per cent year on year.
