The Worcester News is launching a new edition for Droitwich on Thursday.
The Droitwich News will contain up to eight pages of original content for the town.
The Newsquest title is also to recruit one new journalist to cover the area.
Editor Peter John said: “Droitwich is about a quarter of the size of Worcester and already has a sizeable core of Worcester News readers.
“Now we think we can offer them an even better local paper and attract new readers as well.”
The Worcester News recorded an average daily circulation of 8,222 in the first half of 2015.
And according to ABC, Newsquest’s free Bromsgrove Advertiser/ Droitwich Spa Advertiser recorded an average circulation of 34,180 in the same period.
