Liverpool Post launches 40-page monthly free business newspaper

By Dominic Ponsford

The Liverpool Echo has launched a new monthly controlled-circulation magazine aimed at business leaders on Merseyside.

According to publisher Trinity Mirror: “‘Business Post’ includes the latest news and in-depth analysis on the business scene across the entire city region and features interviews and expert comment on the issues that matter.”

The first 40-page edition focuses on upcoming trade visit to China organised by Liverpool Vision.

Echo city editor Alistair Houghton is editing the new title. He said: “Liverpool City Region is one that is moving forward and moving fast.

“There are many successes to shout about – and many more to look forward to. Business Post aims to do that.

“Through targeted distribution, Business Post will be delivered free to Chief Executive Officers and key decision makers across the city region. All in the belief that effective communication will drive achievement.

“Our aim is for Business Post to be a touchstone for people who drive commerce forward on Merseyside.”

The move comes four years after Trinity Mirror closed the Liverpool Post, a former daily newspaper which went weekly and a focus on business issues.
