The Daily Record will this weekend broadcast Scotland’s rugby test match with the United States on its website free for users.
The match, starting at 1.30am on Sunday UK time from Houston, will also be available to re-watch on the Record website throughout the day.
The match will also be available on the Record’s national sister website, Mirror.co.uk.
Media Scotland managing director Allan Rennie said he was pleased to be “making a little but of rugby history by live-streaming” the match.
He said: "It is another ground-breaking deal from Scotland's biggest and fastest-growing website and we're pleased to be doing it with Scottish Rugby at such an exciting time for the sport."
Scottish Rugby’s director of commercial operations, communications and public affairs, Dominic McKay said: “The Daily Record have been great partners recently supporting Scottish Rugby with their promotion of the Emirates Airline Glasgow 7s and this new development enabling all Scotland rugby fans to watch the USA v Scotland game for free and online is welcome news."
Over the past year, sports fans have been able to watch football, rugby and cricket on News UK’s newspaper websites.
In April, News UK announced it was to add near-live clips from England international cricket matches to its Times, Sunday Times and Sun websites.
Subscribers previously already had access to video clips from the football Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup as well as rugby’s Aviva Premiership.
