Journalists at the Johnston Press-owned Blackpool Gazette and Herald will embark on an indefinite period of work-to-rule from next week.
Members of the National Union of Journalists will step-up their protest against the planned introduction of the Atex content management system from Wednesday.
The move follows a previous refusal to train on the new system and a day of industrial action at the newspaper group.
Union members across Johnston Press are expected to ballot later this month on a possible group-wide strike over the introduction of the Atex system and concerns about low staffing levels.
