Trinity Mirror is extending the reach of its Scottish Metro newspaper into Aberdeen.
Metro Scotland will distribute 5,000 copies of the free daily in Aberdeen from Monday 25 June
Trinity also publishes the Metro in Newcastle, Birmingham, Liverpool, Cardiff and Trafford.
Copies of the Scottish Metro will now be distributed through Aberdeen, Stonehaven and Dyce railway stations, and through the main city bus depot and bus routes.
Since its launch in 1999, the Scottish Metro has reached a daily distribution of 128,000 and a readership of 292,000, according to Trinity.
The expansion into Aberdeen means it will join regional Scottish Metro papers serving Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee.
Media Scotland commercial director Denise West said: ‘It’s excellent to be able to extend Metro into Aberdeen.’
‘It’s often the first media hit of the day for our readers and it allows advertisers to instantly connect with young, affluent commuters who work and play in Scotland’s four main cities.’
‘We can now offer an unrivalled daily audience of over one million readers across Scotland through our new Daily Record and Metro package.”
