Veteran Daily Telegraph reporter John Steele has left the paper after 11 years as crime correspondent.
Steele, 47, previously spent six years as courts correspondent for the paper. Press Gazette understands that his departure last week was by mutual agreement.
To replace him reporte Richard Edwards has been promoted from news reporter to crime correspondent. He was previously crime reporter at the Evening Standard before joining The Daily Telegraph in April.
Duncan Gardham has been promoted to security correspondent. Gardham has been a general reporter at the Telegraph for three years, and previously worked for the Daily Mail.
